China is a town in Kennebec County, Maine, United States with its population at 4,110 during the 2000 census. It is Located about 10 miles northeast of Augusta and about 8 miles southeast of Waterville, China is comprised of four villages, China, South China, Weeks Mills, and Branch Mills. China was incorporated as the Town Of China on June 5, 1818 and encompasses 54 square miles and includes 3 major bodies of water (China Lake, Three Mile Pond and Branch Pond). China is a beautiful town for all who call her home and for those who would just rather stop by and visit.
